It aint nothing to cut that CABLE off!

Approximately 186.7 million US citizens watch cable TV satellite or Tellico provided by pay-TV. TV subscribers are down by 3.8% over last year which is a little bit higher than the 3.4% drop in 2017. Cable TV as we know it will be no more in the next few years. Generation Z and the generations after will engage in streaming services. cable TV will just become another thing of the past.

I believe cable TV will cease to end.

Streaming services are offering more than cable TV at more affordable prices. Cable TV has been around for years but everything always comes to an end. Streaming services such as Hulu Netflix Amazon and Amazon fire stick replace cable TV on a daily basis. The average cost of cable TV for the household is now up to $107 a month, however, streaming services range from $4.99 a month to $19.99 a month providing the same or even more services than Cable TV.

Personally I appreciate streaming services more than cable TV for numerous reasons but I will provide a few. For a college student like myself streaming services are more effective and affordable. Most streaming services offer discounted prices for college students with proof of enrollment. Streaming services allow me to access them on my computer, cell phone, TV, and iPad. Households use streaming services too because they are more effective as well. Instead of paying on average $107 a month for your family to watch TV, you could just pay $9.99 a month to watch the same things plus more.

I subscribe to about five streaming services Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Amazon fire stick, and BETplus. Each streaming service offers something different and I still come out cheaper paying for five streaming services than cable TV. Services like Netflix and Amazon prime allow access to movies from all genres and eras right at your fingertips for one solid price. Also Amazon Prime offers STARZ on-demand and HBO on demand for cheaper as well. Who offers access to live TV shows And America’s favorite all TV shows.

The “Netflix and chill” era started by generation Z had a major impact on the decrease of cable TV. Netflix and chill became cold for having sexual intercourse with the partner while watching Netflix. Netflix and chill Aaron kind of became bragging rights for a lot of young teenagers in America. If you didn’t have Netflix then you were considered lame but if you are already Netflix and chilling then you were considered on top of the game.

Smart TVs and Roku‘s make streaming services more accessible to buyers. The TVs come programmed with Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon already on the TV. The remotes allow you to access the streaming services or just a click of a button. Most parents of children born in a generation Z buy their children smart TVs because streaming services are indeed the wave of this generation and beyond.
