Who is Marionna Luckey?
I am Marionna Luckey a Sophomore Mass Media Arts major with a concentration in Public Relations. I am from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. I attend the illustrious Clark Atlanta University, this university has allowed me to showcase my leadership skills and implement service through the various clubs and organizations I have joined. Serving as the 2018-2019 Miss Freshman, 2019-2020 Sophomore Class Vice President, Orientation Guide Corp and a member of the Honors and Scholars program I will continue to grow and expand my leadership skills while serving my fellow peers and community.

Why I choose Clark Atlanta University
I choose Clark Atlanta because this was the only university that made me feel at home. I was accepted to 21 colleges and universities around the country. Seventeen of those acceptances were from Historically Black Colleges and Universities. My family decided to take me on an HBCU tour so that I could see the campuses and student life of the universities and colleges that were persistent in having me join their student body. After touring numerous schools, Clark Atlanta University was the only school that I bought apparel from. The tour was amazing, the faculty was honest, and the students brought a joy so warm that my heart began to melt. The school is located in a big city which made a country girl like me want to enjoy all the city has to offer. I could see the amazing opportunities and success waiting for me at Clark Atlanta U. So I decided this is where I would spend the next four years of my life.

Hear It From Me
On November 3, 2019, I was presented with the wonderful opportunity to assist with Creative Directing a new music video for American rapper and actor T.I. Filming was eleven hours each day for four consecutive days. Wrapping up the video with T.I.I was booked to creatively direct a birthday video shoot for R&B singer Nelly.
Creative Directing is truly my own little passion project, gaining more and more experience each day.

What in this course stood out to me?
Blogging! Blogging was something that I had never thought about, let alone actually doing. I did not see the fun in blogging until Ms.Funderburke's class. I learned how to properly blog and incorporate fun gifs and materials that would keep my readers engaged. The course helped me to become a better writer in other courses at my university. Now I find myself reading blogs on a regular basis.
This course helped me to find a balance between the two paths of Media I wanted to take. I learned I could further studyPR while also pursuing a career in Creative Directing. This class was my first Mass Media Arts class since changing my major so I learned a lot about the world of MMA, which helped me better understand different aspects and catch up to the rest of my peers.

Who Do I look up to as a role model?
I look up to my mom as my role model. My mother is a wonderful and strong woman. My mother keeps me strong at my weakest times. My mother came out of poverty and chased success until she finally received it. My mom never gave up on hher dreams even with all of the many obstacles placed in her life. My mom has taught me the importance of being grateful in life no matter the circumstances
